Announcing GLOBALOCAL 2014: The Forum for Content
13–14 February, 2014 at the Lalit, New Delhi
GBO New Delhi’s annual event, GLOBALOCAL: The Forum for Content, started in 2009 and in its fourth year saw another successful edition completed at Jaipur on the 28th and 29th of January 2013. After four successful years of GLOBALOCAL, we, at German Book Office New Delhi, are back with the fifth edition of this event slated to be held on 13-14 February 2014 in New Delhi.
GLOBALOCAL is an exclusive forum for content, tailored to meet the needs of the publishing and allied industry, and has evolved from a conference format to an exclusive B2B platform integrating expert speaks and networking opportunities among other avenues of business outreach. Targeted at national and international players within the publishing and ancillary industry, this event is the once-in-a-year chance to come together and explore further business possibilities while exchanging and updating knowledge and trends.
In 2014, GLOBALOCAL will again have an exciting mix of roundtables, rights & licenses training, business match makings, keynote presentations and ample networking breaks. But the new additions for this year will be thematic workshops led by noted practitioners and an Experts’ Table with a panel of industry experts there to provide guidance. Thereby, there’s going to be abundant opportunities to meet peers & professionals [national and international], scope out new business collaborators/partners, present/launch your products/solutions/ideas, and interact with people from the publishing and allied industries from all over.
GLOBALOCAL 2013 brought the focus back on increasing one on one networking opportunities and in year 2014, the trend continues. We present the EXCLUSIVE INDIA Trip again with a view to increasing planned interactions between Indian publishers/distributors/retailers/digital service providers and their international publishing counterparts. To that effect, we have invited publishers/companies from across the globe, interested in the Indian publishing industry from a business perspective, to visit India from 9-15 February 2014, be a part of the Trip, and attend GLOBALOCAL 2014 right before participating in the New Delhi World Book Fair 2014. The Trip is planned across Delhi and Chennai and maximises the international participant’s experience of the Indian Publishing industry.
